BOULDER – The University of Colorado lacrosse team finishes a four-game road trip, traveling to the west coast for a second straight weekend with contests at St. Mary’s and California.

CU opens the weekend facing the St. Mary’s Gaels (0-12, 0-6 MPSF) on Friday, April 17 at 5 p.m. MT. The Buffaloes are 1-0 in their only meeting against the Gaels, who are led by senior Jaclyn Biggers and sophomore Megan Zummo. The St. Mary’s duo has combined for 33 goals this season, nearly half of the team’s tallies.

The Buffs play their final road game of the regular season on Sunday, April 19 against California at 1 p.m. MT. This will mark CU’s first time traveling to Berkley, Calif. and second overall match-up with the Bears. Colorado is looking for its first win over Cal (2-11, 1-5 MPSF) after falling in a close meeting last season, 7-6 at Kittredge Field. The Bears face Denver on Friday before CU comes to town.

Good luck to the team today and Sunday. Looks like the Buffs should be favorites in both games (just based on opponents' records), but of course "on any given Sunday...", so they better still bring their best.

Buffs continue strong play and are up 13-2 at the half. Looks like they'll have a good opportunity to keep their starters fresh for Cal Sunday while giving others valuable experience. Hat tricks for Kiernan and Moore already.

Buffs get the win 21-5. Moore and Macleay end up with 4 goals, and Kiernan, A. Salavadore and Castagnola net hat tricks.

Now, hope they take it to the G. Bears on Sunday and get the conference record over .500!
