University of Colorado basketball fans can exhale; Alec Burks is staying put. The Big 12 Conference's freshman of the year said Wednesday he's gotten over his anger and frustration.

Praise God, Jesus, Buddha, Vishnu, and the Flying Spaghetti Monster! This makes me feel much better about next season and our new coach.

RSS Bot, you're a sexy bitch tonight. XOXO

I admit I am a bit skeptical of Coach Boyle. Yet he delivered on his first priority as CU coach and he deserves props. Good job coach and good job Alec for thinking rationally while making your decision.

When Reg-bot announced, leading to the sports, that Burks had made a decision, just before the commerical, I was 99% sure he was staying. I think he and his parents bought into Boyle. He obviously wanted to announce as soon as he could to help recruiting. This speaks a lot for the kind of young man he is.

 Nice to see you've come around on the Reg-bot...

I never could see how it would make any sense for Burks to leave, if he plans to go pro after next season. Either he goes into the draft after sitting out a season, or he stays in school one more year after a transfer. Either way, it's hard to see how he'd be better off than playing for Boyle...

Hopefully Boyle can find a way to get him to stick around past next season. But that might be a tall order if he has another great season...

about time CU sports got some good news. hopefully, the Boyle hiring will be a big part of that down the road.
