Callahan to RG

Is the main takeaway from this thread that Callahan is good enough to play LT for Auburn but not for CU?

Is it?

Seriously though, maybe this speaks to HCMM's strategy regarding teambuilding. Let's say that Callahan could be a good LT for us. Maybe even better than Irwin. What if Mac realizes that Callahan's ultimate future is at guard. What if Callahan has a legitimate shot to get drafted in a few years at RG and not really at LT? I would highly approve of that approach.

I wouldn't. You play your best player. Period.

Irwin has been a beast. That allowed Callahan to play his natural position where he will be in line to start next season. Callahan at guard (with the work he's also gotten at RT) gives the OL the best setup this year to adjust to injury.

This is not a matter of starting a lesser player to think a couple years into the future.
