If you had Comcast you could.
Moved from Pub.
Olympic stuff needs to be posted in this forum.
Did you miss the "Announcement" post at the top of the forums, Daaah?
I do have comcast but just their internet service.
must have missed it. oops
Oh, it's actually quite impressive you can watch every event live or later just for being a xfinity subscriber. Did you have a comcast email account? That is where they sent me an email with a link that took me to the nbc page with all of the content.
It requires a xfinity tv subscription. I just have a higher speed internet service through them.
NBC really screwed up. They website keeps crashing under load. You are not missing anything.
No - I was raging about this last night. You will have to find an illegal stream somewhere - like the Wizwig forums
This will work whenever
In the comments they had one called v.............. .i.............. p.......... b.............. o........ x, seems to work. Very much like f........... i......... r......... s....... .t ...... r......... o....... w...... s..... p........ o.......... r........ .t........... s
Typical comcast bs.
I call to find out how I can watch the olympics. They tell me I need to sign up for TV. I do. They say I can go pick up the box across town and say I will need a splitter. I drive over there, pick up the box and splitter. I install everything and call the customer service # to activate the cable box. After waiting on hold for 10 minutes, I get the cable box activated. But the internet no longer works. They say they need to transfer me to the internet division and I say ok. So I get transferred and then wait another 10 minutes on hold. The girl on the other end tries various things and then asks if I am using a splitter. Yes, because they specifically told me I have to. She tells me that a splitter won't work but that she can call a technician to come install another outlet. I say, I rent and can't install another outlet. She tells me that oh, ok, we can probably just get another splitter and it might work for two months. ??? So I have an appointment scheduled for Monday to get the splitter replaced. Who knows if it will work.
However, that's not it. Presumably since my internet is back up and I now have cable service (although I am unable to use both at the same time due to the splitter issue) I should be able watch the games on my xbox. I try to log in and get an error. I'm now on hold again "with an estimated wait time of greater than 10 minutes."
Still on hold.
I must be in the minority but I have never had a problem with comcast and we have had it since the switch from TCI (1999) to at&t(2002) to comcast.
Still on hold. I'm up to 3.5 hours wasted today.
Finally got through with someone and it is working but despite what they said, I CANNOT watch the games through my xbox and can only do it on xfinity.net or something or with a hand held device. Hah!
****. On hold again. All this trouble just to give them money.
Try looking in your email inbox for the link. I had to sign into xfinity.com to get the access.
i'm sure this has been mentioned before, but how is NBC in 2012 not broadcasting the good events live?! i missed the 400m swimming race between phelps/lochte and whoever else...to get to see women's bball, women's soccer, or tennis on tv? jeezus!
Because NBC sucks. Don't forget this is the same network that still thinks ND football is a big draw on national TV every time they're at home.
