With the dramatic growth in Colorado the last 10 years, it’s highly likely Colorado will receive at least one additional seat in Congress. That will push the number of Regents from 9 to 10. Much will depend on how the 8 congressional districts are mapped. It will be interesting to see where the 8th district is located. Just a SWAG, but based on population growth, it would make sense to be in the Southern Denver suburbs - thinking Parker, Castle Rock, Centennial, Highlands Ranch. That should, in theory, produce a more sympathetic ear for athletics. Lots of CU alumni in that part of the State.
 
Anyone know how a tie would be broken if we have 10? Or maybe we'll end up having an additional Regent At-Large when that happens.

That would have been the situation prior to 2000. Just a guess, but I’d think the board chairman would be the deciding vote in that situation.
