Class of 2014 OL Robert McClure- Lackawanna Juco

Class of 2014 JUCO OL Robert McClure from Lackawanna College(PA) has been offered by Colorado(Coach Embree). He is 6'3, 303 pounds with 360 bench, 450 squat, 5.2 forty, 4.8 shuttle, 29 inch vertical, and a 3.9 GPA and made the deans list. Also has an offer from FCS FAMU. Not much news since the coaching change over. If he is still interested in being a Buff with the new coaching staff, could he be an early contributor? What is everybody's take on this player? Don't have a clue about him. CU in the past has not had a lot of success with JUCO although a few have contributed. Our OL has lacked size and power over the past few years and a number of our better prospects haven't panned out so the depth situation isn't what we would want it to be.

Guess it all depends on the new coaching staff but he sounds interesting. Don't know what classes he has been taking which will effect the transfer sitation as well but the GPA looks like he is a serious student which should help. If he cares enough about school to get a 3.9 he probably cares enough to take some tougher classes which are more likely to transfer and to prepare him for CU academics.

We only lost one lineman to graduation so there isn't an immediate need but as Mtn stated issues could arise down the line. If he has 3 to play 2, then could be a good idea. However, the lack of offers from any other BCS school is concerning. I'd rather take a highly rated frosh than reach for a juco.

EDIT: I didn't see that this was a 2014 recruit at first, which makes him a better target for our future needs. It also may explain why there are no other BCS offers yet.
