Ugh, watching this ASU vs Arizona matchup and its just sinking in how incredibly over-matched we are on the coaching front in the PAC 12. Every school in the league that was in trouble opened up that Pac 12 war chest and significantly upgraded or is seeking to upgrade their coaching. Cal just fired a guy that is 10x the coach of anybody on our staff. That's not even counting having a guy in the league considered one of the most innovative coaches in CFB. Plus the admin insists on fighting with one hand behind their back with regulations that prevent us from hiring competent assistants (not to mention the ridiculously low HC salary means we can't even pay the going rate for a top flight coordinator without having to pay more then what we're giving the HC).
Brings to mind that line from Rounders "If you can't spot the sucker at the table in the first half hour, then you are sucker." That's us, we've been at the table for a lot longer then a half hour and need to look in the mirror. Yet the admin is all aboard for another trip on this nostalgia train fiasco.
