Should college basketball wait to start its games until mid-December (after football's conference championships are done)?

The idea would be to increase interest in the cbb regular season.

This would push the conference tourneys and NCAA tourney into April.

Definitely a positive on the academic side, because this would also mean they started the season after fall finals and cbb would be a 1-semester sport.

I hate it for two reasons. When your football team sucks you welcome the start of basketball.

And two, when St Patrick's Day and the tourney start(real start like tomorrow) fall on the same day it is magical.
