Colorado v Murray St - 2012 Charleston Classic Final - Game Thread

2 early fouls on Garrett, MSU's only player over 6'7.

Down 9-11. Mayor is off his game right now. Passed Scott into a charge (2nd foul). Murray State is going to live and die by the 3pt shot. CU has to do a better job on the defensive glass.
 
Shane with a nice move in the post. Then shoots an air ball from 4 feet away. :facepalm:
 
Almost like JR is playing for Murray. Willing to shoot some ridiculously long shots.
 
11 turnovers 15 minutes into the game is unacceptable. Also need to get the edge in rebounding on these guys, it's even at 10 apiece right now. Canaan is obviously killing us.
 
Canaan's hit three 30-foot shots now. Dude is special. Murray State's 5/12 from 3.

Dre drew another foul on a Murray State big. Going to the line down 22-26 with 4 minutes left.
 
Stupid over the back foul on Scott. That's 3 on him going into the half.

Dre with a sick follow on the break to close the half.

Pretty poor half IMO. Glad we're up. Starting to get an edge on the boards, now 16-13. Need to hit the glass hard in the second half
 
Sloppy game for both teams but Buffs end the half on top! Still turnovers and bad FT shooting plague CU. Clean it up and CU should win.
 
I'd like to see more:
1. Feeding the big men on the block
2. Dinwiddie attacking the rim through the lane. Too passive.
 
Some 1st half thoughts:

Murray state is very good, great defense, active rebounding and they also have some luck. We are going to need to play much better in the 2nd. We need to get the ball to Scott a lot more and Spencer needs to turn it up on offense. Dre is doing much better on offense this game.
