Congrats to WBBs breaking of 16 game conference road game losing streak

WBB has doubled their win total from last season (all games)! Kennedy had an off night shooting again but with about 2:30 left in the game (IIRC) drained a long trey at the shot clock to give the Buffs a five point lead which was just enough. With ten seconds left Monica picked off an in-bounds pass that sealed the game!

Zoe Correal 16 pts & 15 rbds! In front of her HS coach.
Alexis Robinson 15 pts, 6 ast!
Kennedy 9 pts, 7 ast in 40 minutes.

Can the Buffs get two more wins in the regular season and put themselves in position for a WNIT bid?

That 3 was with about 38 sec left. Great win!!!

BTW ... this headline was brought to you by the Department of Redundancy Department. Probably one of those government agencies we could get rid of. :)

Re: the bolded ... They only need one more win for WNIT eligibility. Eligibility for an invite requires a record of .500 or better. It used to be "better than .500" but was changed to ".500 or better" a few years ago. Buffs are at 14-11 with 4 more regular season games. So with 4 games to go, if they go 1-3 the record is 15-14. Then, once into the conference tourney, if they lose first game, it's 15-15, which has them eligible. If they win first tourney game, they will end up above .500.

Let's hope they can get 1-2 more PAC 12 wins to make their case. Season is a success but you don't want to end it on a bunch of losses in a row.

Most likely opportunities for a win the home game with Oregon and at the end of the regular season with Washington State. It would be a great achievement for this team to make the post season and with so many players returning for next season the extra practice and games will help them progress on both ends of the court.

Getting to the WNIT would do this team so much good in terms of extra practice and playing opponents outside the Pac. Also make the players know their hard work has paid off.

Kennedy did have an off night shooting wise but she was clutch on the 3!

Well they did it, 100 in a row. That's incredible. Congrats to those young ladies and a damn good coach. One of the best ever, the women's game is different but it shouldn't take away from it.

UConn is boring to watch. Haven't watched in years. Won't watch them. Do watch the players in WNBA.

I will never put the women's game down. It's basketball, the way it was met to be played. Yes, the UConn players are excellent. I find Geno arrogant. I've seen him in recruiting made at the state tournament here. Mr. Personality when he was mingling with the fans of the school of a player he had signed. Of course, she was on the court.

I don't find this kind of domination good for women's basketball. I said the same thing when it was Tennessee.
