Congratulations Mr. Montez

Amazing that two Buffs QBs have been PAC XII Offensive Player Of The Week after that superstar dude wriggled off the hook.

CJ backing up Hagan, who was backing up Aunese was as loaded as we have ever been at QB. 1988. Of course, both Hagan and CJ were true freshmen at the time, so we probably had no idea exactly how loaded we were.

Just watched Mr. Montez interviewed by Mark Johnson on Buff Stampede he is a cool kid and great since of humor..also Spoon interviewed Great kid that was very respectful and great manners...then interviewed Emma Coburn and yea - what a refreshing young lady... I Love Our Buffs.

This coaching staff really does try to recruit character. MacIntyre talked about when he visited Montez and one of the things that stood out to him was that while he was this superstar & the big man on campus, he observed him saying "hi" and being nice to everyone in the hallways around school. Wasn't big timing people.

Agree...on the Spoon interview, very respectful...as Mark Johnson asked him the last question.."Yes sir"

The whole team is like that. When they showed the locker room before and after the Oregon game, every time Mac said something, the whole team, in unison, said "yes sir". I'm wondering where it started as its unusual outside of the south.
