CSU game boycotters

Have you ever paid money to go see the buffs get humiliated on the road.
Did you find it akward when the team quit last year and you didn't.

Sadly yes. And that goes back to coaching. I think that we have the right coach to overcome that aspect of the game (meaning not quitting)

you went to the UW game two years ago in Seattle, right? That was a sad waste of $200 bucks.

Sent from my Nokia Lumia 928

It was way more than $200.

Flight to Portland $99 x 2
2 nights hotel in Portland $400
Train to Seattle $30 x 2
Tickets to game $0
Boat ride to game $75 x 2
3 nights in Seattle $600
Flight home $99 x 2

Add in the food and booze and it starts getting close to $2000 for a game that we never went back to after halftime.

Now spending $2k to see Seattle and Portland is not bad, compared to spending any amount of time in Lawrence (did stay a night here and have the best story ever) or Iowa.

I did not say you were a bad fan. What I am saying is that not going for the sake of moving the game back does little for cu as a program. If they were top 25 teams, the venue would not be used as an excuse. You are an adult my buff brother, you do what you want. I was just expressing my opinion and predicting that the "boycotters" will be here asking for details they could have gotten if they went to the game.

Go Buffs

I'll actually be there in my ****ty seats that cost double what my Folsom seats cost. I was just stating I completely understand the boycotters. I'm also still pissed that Plati killed/ate the last person on this site that started a boycott. RIP 87toinfinity

I do not consider myself a boycott participant. While I consider myself a huge fan (insert weight joke here), the "support your team" argument wears thin at times. Colleges want to have it both ways. They charge very nearly what one would pay to see a professional game and employ practices to squeeze the very last nickel out of every attendee. As soon as someone raises the observation that "hey it stinks to go and watch you get your head handed to you we can and week out", the support dear old CU argument comes out. Either you are putting a product on the field it is worth premium dollars or you aren't. As much as I love to see buff football, when it is played at a crappy venue, in an unpleasant atmosphere, away from Folsom field, and on the heels of seven losing seasons, huge fan or not, I reserve the right to watch the game on the tube if I choose.

25 posts...........yep but guess what? I am a BuffClub member, I am going to the game, and I will not use the venue as an excuse. If you want to take shots at me for the number of posts, go ahead but you will not see the number of my posts get much bigger on Sunday because I don't want to just discuss the game on this board...I want to live it.\
Go Buffs!
Good for you, have a great time.

the biggest joke of this entire game is the prices CU is charging to upgrade your ticket so you are not stuck in the last row of the 5th level. Season ticket holders are forced to purchase the game even when we are the "visitors", the tickets they give you for the game at IvescoAuthorityMileHigh Gulag are not anywhere close to where your CU season tickets are at Folsom.

True. It is your right. What I am referring to is the argument that people make about wanting to go see the buffs but not going simply because they want to send a message to the admin that they disapprove of the venue. Guys, I am not trying to be rude. I f I came off rude I apologize. I just think that if the Buffs were winning big, the venue reason wouldn't be used as much. I do not like that the game is played at SAF. I just think that by going to the game, spending my money, cheering with friends, fellow alumni, and students, I am helping the program more than not going. I do not question anyone's "good fan vs bad fan status". Is just constructive criticism of the execution of the methods we use to make an impact.

I hope there are no hard feelings here my fellow Buff fans.

42 - 17 book it!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not just the venue, most of us want this game discontinued. We will go if it is in Boulder, but the series has run its course.

A thought on this:

If CU fans boycott the RMS, they owe it to the football team to show up in full force for Central Arkansas.

I don't think anyone has mentioned they want to boycott the Central Arkansas game. And why would you want to miss a game in beautiful Folsom field.

I don't care if, or where, they play the game. It will probably be over 90 degress for most of the game, so I'm not going.

I have nothing major against playing the game in Denver. Boulder/Folsom can get monotonous and the drive up and back on 36 is seldom pleasant. As a Denver resident I believe that the sometimes overbearing presence of our excellent police force adds a nice edgy eastern European or South American ambiance to the goings-on, not unlike a Bulgarian or Columbian soccer match. Sometimes you gotta get outta the Boulder bubble and breathe in the uncertainty and the chaos......:wow::nod:

Junction is the biggest CU fan on allbuffs. FACT

I always thought Junction was multiple posters posing as one. No person could possibly post that much. Has to be like 10-12 guys, right?

I think due to its proximity to Utah, porn is banned in Grand Junction. Can you imagine?

He's been working out and is down to about 7 or 8 guys.

Unlike Darth, Junc takes his moderating duties seriously

That's news to junc

So, you've met him? I mean, yeah, probably. But it's not like there aren't a few of us who could stand to lose a few pounds.

Names taken...... :angry3::you:

I am going to the game but I a peeved about having to upgrade my tickets in order to have decent seating. It is very likely this is my last season as a season ticket holder. It is very little fun going to games and the misery of having to go to the Broncos stadium just adds to the issues.

I'll be there, but I'm more excited to watch the volleyball match Friday night.

EDIT: This is not a boner joke.

Hendersonesque post! Well, at least the VBallers aren't 14.

It is to laugh at all the fake "horror" or cynicism over Hendo's crack about 14-yr. olds, professed by those who likley "project"!
They have never, ever looked a bit wistfully at some of those little minxes who knowingly strut their "Myley Cyrus" for the world to ogle!

Yeah, right!

He knew Henderson has surfed AllBuffs for material, but I get we know now that posts as well. You've been unmasked.

I am not going, upgraded to club level last couple of years and ended up sitting on the CSU side. Two sections of CU fans right in the middle of their side of the stadium.

Not falling for that trick again. I'll be watching on my 106" screen.
