BOULDER – The University of Colorado soccer team played its longest match of the season on Friday and fell to the Kansas Jayhawks 2-1 in double overtime.

The Buffs and their former Big 12 Conference rival were knotted at 1-1 until the 102[SUP]nd[/SUP] minute when Kansas’ leading scorer Liana Salazar buried her sixth goal of the year, giving the Jayhawks’ the 2-1 road win. KU forward Ali Kimura recorded the assist when her right to left cross found Salazar who punched the ball in the right corner of the net.
