Not that I’m defending RG but 4BienemyTDs doesn’t live in reality with most of his CFB takes. Five 1 year contracts? This isn’t fantasy land where we get to make up things up that don’t exist.

And I’ll say again, there wasn’t a **** up with the contract. There wasn’t a single person on this website or in the AD who wasn’t pounding the table daily for RG to get a long term extension done ASAP.

I've lost the interesting in even watching it over the years. They could give it some semblance of a game or real scrimmage, even. But having the coaches standing on the field, the ridiculous situational swapping of field position, and random inclusion of field goals for no reason is just annoying. Maybe it's more fun in person.

I grew up when the spring game was pretty much an actual game, and they've gotten so far away from that. It just annoys me now. Yes. I'm also at that age where pretty much everything and everyone annoys me.

Agreed. We have 6 tickets, but there are ongoing discussions on whether any of us will show up.

Yak, this was a joke on the contract and my point is that Prime did not actually have that much leverage to earn the contract he earned and with all the waffling and the reality of our roster situation and the reality of the NIL development, things were not 100% clear or locked in our favor to be successful one way or the other.

Also, my reality is fine because it is my reality, and this is an opinion site. Do I know that CFB is full of bull**** actions and terrible contracts and great agents manipulating stupid AD's, of course. I live in a world where I just wish people could operate with some ethics, courtesy, and community thinking. The most messed up sport is "College" Football where we are trying to show how to make the world better. The pro leagues are more ethical than the "amateur" developing leagues, just like how overall unhealthy Youth Sports are.

We are where we are with Prime, and he is not worth his contract because we have to SPEND the right amount of money on the program and he is not totally investing his brand into ours, and he is not a great coach anyway. Coach Marion at $4M with a winning team would likely be just as good of an arrangement as $10M Coach Prime. However, I am wise enough to know that if Coach Prime gets it right this year and we are pretty good and he is engaged, we have a higher ceiling and things just might work out.
