I was there with my family, I remember the hype before the game. Sal is dead sign over I-80, the front page of the Lincoln paper talking about how it was time for Osborne and NU to win "the big game". It was drizzing, pissing, pelting, sleet and mix snow. CU had several chances to blow the game open, but Bieniemy kept fumbling deep in NU territory, letting NU get momentum. But CU really dominated the game on defense. Then Mickey Joseph's run down the sideline when he stepped out. then the pass to Johhny Mitchell to put NU up 12-0 late in the third. Then the buffs exploded. EB reddemed himself with 4 4Q TD's. After the 3rd TD, I remember my dad picking up my freezing brother who was huddled under the bleachers and put him on his shoulders and said, "I don't care how cold you are, we haven't done this in Lincoln since 1967, and you're gonna see it!" CU section went crazy, and NU fans were calling for Osborn's head after the game. Another big game lost by Dr. Tom!:smile2: I think CU also became the first team to ever beat Oklahoma and Nebraska in consecutive weeks two straight years.
