BOULDER – The University of Colorado soccer team will play eight games this spring, including four home matches, head coach Danny Sanchez announced Wednesday. The Buffaloes’ schedule features five in-state opponents and one former Big 12 Conference rival.

CU opens the spring against Air Force on Friday, March 7 in Boulder. The Buffs hold a 5-1 regular season lead over the Falcons, falling only in their inaugural season of 1996. In spring play last season, the Buffs blanked the Falcons 2-0 in the Regis University Tournament.

The Buffs continue their homestand against Division II opponent Metro State. Coach Sanchez spent six seasons as the head coach of Metro State, leading the Roadrunners to a 128-11-7 record, six straight NCAA DII Tournaments and a pair of NCAA Championships. Sanchez welcomes his former team on Sunday, March 9.
