QUICKLY: The University of Colorado soccer team heads to Salt Lake City to face Utah in the regular season finale. With a tie and a loss last weekend, the Buffs (12-5-2 overall, 4-4-2 Pac-12 Conference) look to bounce back during rivalry week. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8. The game will air on the Pac-12 Networks.

COLORADO VS. UTAH: CU and Utah have a storied history dating back to 1998. The Buffs hold a 6-2-1 lead over the Utes, though Utah holds a 2-0 lead at Ute Field. After falling 1-0 in their first meeting, the Buffs won six straight, including a 3-0 victory in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in 2004. Since both teams joined the Pac-12 in 2011, the Utes have claimed a 2-1 victory and the squads have forced a double overtime tie. While all of the Buffs’ goal scorers against Utah the past two seasons have graduated, in 2012, sophomore Madison Krauser assisted Shaye Marshall at 1:44 to give the Buffs’ one of their earliest leads in program history. Utah would find an equalizer in the 35th minute. At that point, Annie Brunner would come out of the game with an injury, but reserve keeper Kayla Millar would grab four saves in 76 minutes to help keep the 1-1 tie intact.

TWICS Week 12

Game Notes

Believe it or not, CU's RPI is still around, so they are in good shape for the NCAA tourney with a win.

Too bad the match starts at 2 pm. What's the Pac 12 thinking?
