CU Tennis Starts Strong In Singles Play At Regional

LAS VEGAS – The University of Colorado women’s tennis team won four of six singles matches during Wednesday’s play on the first day of the 2013 USTA/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Mountain Region Championships on the UNLV campus.

This is the fourth consecutive year that the ITA women's event is being played in Las Vegas. Members from 19 western teams will face off as individuals from Wednesday through Sunday on 12 courts each day in both singles and doubles.

Wednesday’s play consisted of a first round of doubles followed by a first round of singles. More than 110 women's collegiate tennis players will compete this week through Sunday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
