CU v Washington State - Game Thread

Nothing sweeter than road wins. I don't care who it's against. It's a conference road win. Those are big.

WE CAN WIN ON THE ROAD!! Jesus, didn't think it was possible unless we were playing Utah.
 
We held on, but it wasn't for lack of trying to give it away. Good win though, and hopefully tonight helps to restore their confidence.
 
Needed this win bad. Got to hope they can build some confidence playing at home against California and Stanford.
 
crazy how important those two late 18 footers were from ski were - totally ignited our offense (everyone started... MOVING!) and WSU lost their composure right after that.

Did he snap the Zona curse? let's hope.
 
Kept the dream alive for now. Critical win. The confidence will return after grinding one out on the road. Let's go kick some Stanford and Flukes ass this week.

Speaking of Utah... let's hope they can hang on at Washington. Up 8 at the half.

We need some teams to start falling back to us in the conference standings.

Yup. It's basically up to us to knock Oregon off the top, but I don't think we can catch them at this point since they don't play UCLA or AZ again. UCLA is inconsistent enough that it is possible to catch them. Basically, the best possible we can do is the 3d spot of the conference tourney at this point - but that's extremely unlikely. The realistic goal has to be that 4th spot.
 
Jesus that's the easiest remaining schedule I've ever seen for Oregon. They'll still have a few slip ups, though.
 
Yeah, we need Washington to come down to earth a bit. Zona, Oregon and UCLA are basically locks but Washington probably needs at least 12 wins to even be in the tourney conversation. CU needs the 4th spot, or to be close enough to Washington that the non-conference ends up being their undoing
 
The key to tonight's win was Dre's defense on Motum.

Everyone focuses on scoring, but that was the key matchup for us in this one.

Plus that 4-seed avoids playing the extra game in the Pac-12 tourney.

Yup - motum never got going. Dre was built to defend him tho. Only time Motum really got free was when he got into the block and dre got no help.
