CU VB ranked & get weekly honors

And then there is this:

Congrats on the weekly conference honors to Alexa Smith, offensive player of the week, and Brynna DeLuzio, freshman of the week.

Agree- congrats to both the team for the Top 25 and the 2 individuals for the recognition!

We know the Pac 12 is probably the best volleyball league in the country. Utah has lost at home to BYU. Here's hoping CU can do the same thing.

Congrats on being ranked--even if I don't see why CSU is ranked higher than CU.

Congrats to Brynna and Alexa. Well deserved and happy to see them finally getting some recognition from the conference.

Voting is weird outside the revenue sports of football & basketball. Often times, it seems that the results of actual games don't matter as much for some reason.

Looking at the top 25, strength of schedule is probably hurting CU. However, CSU has lost 2 matches. Nebraska has lost 2 ( one to a mid major who is finally ranked this week). We just have to let the season play out and then focus on the NCAA tourney.

Plenty of opportunity to prove how good the team is in conference play, so no need to stress about the Buffs ranking at this time. All that matters is that they survive to some extent the conference and get an NCAA tourney bid.

Enough wins for the tourney is my motto. They have not had a bad loss. Keep that up in the conference.
