BOULDER - The University of Colorado lacrosse team has signed 20 players to its first recruiting class, head coach Ann Elliott announced Tuesday. "I could not be more excited about our first ever recruiting class in the University of Colorado lacrosse history," Elliott said. "Our 2013 recruiting class is compiled of kids from the all over the country - East Coast, West Coast, Midwest and right here in our backyard of Colorado. This class is compiled of great athletes, who are hard-working, bring a positive attitude and are team oriented. These 20 student-athletes are excited about being a part of the great history and tradition here at CU as well as about creating their own history! This class will be the foundation of our program and I am extremely excited about what each and every one of our new Buffs brings to our program. We are so proud to welcome all of them into our Buff family!" Players from Colorado and New Jersey lead the group with four from each state. California is close behind, with three players. Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Illinois each contribute two players, while Indiana rounds out the bunch with one player. The versatile group consists of five midfield, four defense and two attack players. The class has two goalies and seven combination players, five on the attack and at midfield and two on midfield and defense. Learn more about the players and view the complete roster. |
