(AztecBuff note- Since it all contained lots of good info, just pasted the whole article above or, in the case of Live Results and live streaming links, at the bottom. One thing I did do is add heat numbers (or flight numbers as they're called for field events) for all the 1st round races/ events each of the Buffs will be involved in. The 10K races only have one heat, so no heat #'s entered there.)

Looks like Erianna Henderson just missed out on the last spot in the next round of the 400m hurdles and Gabby Scott also did not advance.

There are 2 Buffs up next in the 1st round of the men's 400m hurdles

Jaron Thomas just misses out on the final automatic qualifier spot by .02 to finish 4th in heat 5. Looks like he has the highest non AQ time, so he will definitely advance,

Saarel lead for most of the way but gets passed at the end to finished in 2nd and advance

Don't know if you were watching the stream, but a little after the races were run, the announcer said there was something (???) off with the 1st heat (he didn't say what), and 3 additional runners over the normal 24 would be sent forward to the next/ quarterfinal round. Looks like Ms. Henderson is now showing in the live results as one of the qualifiers.

Good opportunity for the freshman to get some more track-time in against great competition!

I heard that, but didn't even think that it would affect us, Great news! Are you currently watching the stream? Because it stopped working for me a little while ago

Stream working again for me.

Also, a couple tweets confirming Ms. Henderson has advanced.

Later Buff qualifiers-
  • Senior Nick Harris advanced to the next round of the 800M and
  • In the 1st running final of the regionals, the women's 10K, two Buffs advance to the Championships in Eugene, with junior Erin Clark finishing in 6th, while freshman Makena Morley gets the last (12th pace) qualifying spot. Bummer that senior captain Carrie Verdon was initially listed as 12th, but they must missed someone, so she was bumped to the 1st non-qualifying spot, a 13th place finish.

Just bumping this, as the National Anthem has been sung and a new day of running events is beginning. (No Buffs in this 1st race (women's 100M hurdles), so ~20 minutes until the 1st race with a Buff in it, the men's 110M hurdles, begins.)

See OP for free streaming and live results links.

Thanks for the update cmgoods. (i wont be able to update the rest of the day.)

Before leaving, did want to mention, especially for those who like keeping up with heralded #ForeverBuffs, that both of the recent Buff Olympic Bronze Medalists, Jenny Simpson and Emma Coburn, are racing at the Prefontaine Classic Diamond League Meet in Eugene OR, the preeminent international meet held on U.S. soil each year. Ms. Coburn will be racing the steeplechase starting at 9:28 PM MT this evening, with live TV coverage on NBCSN starting at 9:00 PM. Tomorrow, TV coverage runs from 2:00-4:00 PM on NBC, with Ms. Simpson's 1500M race scheduled to start at 3:32 PM MT.

In addition to the 2 Olympians, #ForeverBuff Sara Sutherland is also racing. She's entered in the "National" 1500M race being raced this evening, scheduled to start right before the steeple at 9:17 PM MT.

No problem, I'll keep providing updates.

Correction to the original post, the men's high jump is not until tomorrow.

The next event for CU is in about 30 minutes with Nick Harris competing in heat 3 of the men's 800m.

Still here- it's Ms. Rajon O'Quinn. Unfortunately, looks like she couldn't equal her season's best, and is out of the competition. Still a decent performance for her, as it looks like she's finishing in a tie for 26th, so pretty much equal to her regional ranking.
