The University of Colorado women's golf team is set to open its 2016-17 spring season here this weekend (Feb. 11-12), competing in the 22nd Annual Peg Barnard Invitational.

STANFORD, CALIF. — The University of Colorado women's golf team is set to open its 2016-17 spring season here this weekend (Feb. 11-12), competing in the 22nd Annual Peg Barnard Invitational.

TEE TIMES
9:30 a.m. (MT) shotgun start both days.

TOURNAMENT
The tournament, a two-day, 36-hold event hosted by Stanford will be held at the Stanford Golf Course. The first groups tee-off at 9:30 a.m. MT for the first day of stroke play on Saturday and the final round takes place on Sunday.

Good luck to the women's team tomorrow.

Hope they can do as well as the men did last week.
 
Looks like the women finish in 3rd for a solid start to the main spring season. Good job!

Individually, always a good sign for the future (and of course the present) when a freshman, Robyn Choi in this case, has a very good to great tournament to start the season, as she finishes in 3rd overall.

STANFORD, CALIF. — University of Colorado women's golf team finished its first tournament of the spring season here Sunday in third place at the Peg Barnard Invitational, hosted by the Stanford Cardinals.

The Buffaloes, ranked 43 in the nation in the latest Golfweek poll, combined to score 294 or 10-over par in the final round of the 36-hole event. They posted a 19-over par, 587 overall team score for the tournament. The No. 1 ranked Stanford Cardinals won the tournament with a 3-over par 571 and carded a 1-over 285 score in the final round. 10 strokes back recording a second-place finish was Oregon with a 13-over 581 team score, while CU finished third. Fourth place belongs to San Jose State, who is in at 26-over par 594, while New Mexico State rounds out the top-five teams coming in at No. 5 with a team score of 598.

The Buffaloes will have one week off before their next scheduled tournament in the San Luis Obispo, Calif competing in the Bruin Wave Invitational on Feb. 27-28.
