BOULDER – This weekend Colorado's women's tennis team makes the trip to Houston, Texas facing both the University of Texas at San Antonio Roadrunners (Saturday at 11 a.m. MT) and the No. 23 Rice University Owls (Sunday at 11 a.m. MT) for a pair of matches kicking off five straight road matches the Buffs will face over the next two and a half weeks.

Colorado enters the weekend having dropped their previous match at home to the University of Texas at El Paso Miners 4-2, and they head to Texas with a 7-2 overall record. So far, this season the Buffs carry a respectable record of 3-1 on the road and they'll look to improve that mark starting this weekend.

The Roadrunners bring a 4-2 record into the weekend, and they'll take on Rice Friday at 12:00 p.m. MT, before facing the Buffs on Saturday. Colorado has faced UTSA once before in its history, beating the Roadrunners in San Antonio, Texas 7-0 on March 24, 2004.

Hope things are going well for the team today, as matches against UTSA should be well under way. (There is actually a video link in the above tweet, but hard to make out what's going on since there doesn't seem to be any live scoring active.)

Important to get this one.

Yep- saw where Rice beat UTSA 6-1 yesterday, so the Buffs are definitely going to need to bring their "A game" Monday to compete with the Owls.

Note- looks like live video for Monday's (OOPS- should be Sunday) matches will be available at http://www.riceowls.com/facilities/tennis-livestats.html . (Hopefully, live scoring will also be working this time since Rice will be involved as the home school.)
