BOULDER — Colorado hits the road this weekend for a tough top-10 match-up against No. 6 Penn State in State College, Pa. on Sunday, March 12. Opening draw is set for 10 a.m. MT/12 p.m. ET inside Holuba Hall due to weather concerns.

ABOUT NITTANY LIONS: Penn State improved to 7-0 this season after defeating No. 18 James Madison on Wednesday, March 8. PSU is currently ranked sixth in the IWLCA Coaches and U.S. Lacrosse Magazine polls and is fifth in the Inside Lacrosse media poll.

Madison Carter and Steph Lazo are the top two offensive players for the Nittany Lions. Carter leads the team in draw controls (43), free-position goals (7) and goals (25). Lazo is the team leader in points (41), assists (20) and is second in goals (21). Nationally she is second in total assists and points.

In goal, Cat Rainone has played in 366:32 minutes. She has allowed 51 goals for an 8.35 goals against average and has a .463 save percentage. As a team, PSU has tallied 68 caused turnovers this season. Erika Spilker leads the team with eight.

Best wishes to the lax team in what I assume is one of the if not the biggest non-conference games in the team's relatively short history!

As noted in the OP, bummer that the weather caused a change in venue which evidently made it infeasible for the match to be streamed.

 
Indoor is such a different game. With our strength being speed, that could benefit us if it's a full sized field.
