BOULDER - Colorado's tennis team will hit the road this weekend looking for wins at Oregon on Friday (1:30 p.m. PT) and at Portland on Sunday (10 a.m. PT).

The Buffaloes have hit a tough stretch of tough Pac-12 play as Oregon will be the ninth consecutive nationally-ranked opponent they have faced. The Buffs managed to upset No. 59 Arizona for the only win during that stretch so far.

Oregon (11-7, 3-5 Pac-12) comes into the weekend ranked No. 41. Kennan Johnson plays the No. 1 position for the Ducks and is 17-9 overall and 8-6 at No. 1, earning a No. 98 national ranking. A win over Oregon would be the highest-ranked Pac-12 opponent the Buffs have defeated since joining the league in 2011-12 and the highest-ranked win since upsetting No. 38 UNLV in 2009.

Portland (4-10) enters the weekend un-ranked. The Pilots are 0-2 against Pac-12 teams this season, losing to Washington and Washington State. However, they are strong at the top of their lineup as Lucia Butkovska boasts an 8-2 record at the No. 1 position.

Tennis is underway. (Doesn't look like there's any video.)

The Buffs are already officially already up 1-0, as it looks like Oregon is having a tough time injury-wise and only have 5 healthy players, so had to forfeit #6 singles. Both doubles matches are close so far. Again, because of Oregon's issues, the Buffs will only have to win one of the 2 competed doubles matches to earn the doubles point, as the Ducks aren't able to field a #3 doubles team.

Looks like a thrilling win for the Buffs!

After quickly winning in singles #5 to go up 3-0, the Buffs lose the next 3 matches to make it an overall tie, but win a 3rd set tie breaker in #1 singles to get the win. Congrats to the team.
