BOULDER - Colorado's tennis team will open a month-long road trip this weekend at Kansas State and Kansas. The Buffaloes take a 3-2 mark into the trip against their former Big 8/Big 12 rivals.

Tina Bokhua made headlines earlier this week by becoming the first CU tennis player to earn Pac-12 Player of the Week honors after a pair of singles wins atop the team's lineup last week. Nuria Ormeño Ruiz continues her big season and has a 14-3 overall record, including 4-1 between the top two positions in the singles lineup.

K-State is 2-1 this spring with wins against Missouri State and North Texas and a setback against Pac-12 foe Washington State. The Wildcats feature the 18th-ranked singles player in the Central Region in Sara Castellano.

KU is 4-0 entering the weekend, defeating Omaha, Drake, Arkansas and Purdue. Anastasiya Rychagova is ranked 45th in the country and is 4-0 this spring at No. 1 singles for the Jayhawks. They also have three other regionally-ranked players.

Friday's match at Kansas State begins at 1 p.m. (CT) and Sunday's match at Kansas is a noon (CT) start.
