BOULDER—The University of Colorado lacrosse team has been picked to finish third in the 2017 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Coaches' Poll, which was released on Tuesday. This is the final season CU will play in the MPSF as the Pac-12 will officially add women's lacrosse for the 2017-18 season.

The Buffs, who finished third in 2016 with a 7-2 league record, recorded 51 points in the poll. Southern California recorded 64 points, which included eight of the nine first place votes, for first, while Stanford earned the other first place vote and 56 points for second. Behind the Buffs were Oregon (38), UC Davis (36), San Diego State (28), California (23), Fresno State (20) and St. Mary's (8).

Only about 2-1/2 weeks until lax starts their season hosting multi-time NCAA champ Northwestern on Sunday, 2/12.

Hope the team's training hard and smart leading up to their season!
