BOULDER - Colorado's tennis team will host Arizona State on Friday at 1:30 p.m. and Arizona on Sunday at 10 a.m. to open Pac-12 play. Both matches will be at CU's South Campus Tennis Complex in Boulder.

The Buffaloes are entering Pac-12 play with a 5-6 overall mark after a 6-1 win over in-state rival Colorado State last weekend. Nuria Ormeño Ruiz remains a standout on the team, with an overall record of 18-5, including 3-0 at the No. 1 singles position. Jeannez Daniel (8-9 record), Annabelle Andrinopoulos (9-10) and Brigitte Beck (1-1) are also coming off wins last weekend against CSU.

In doubles play, Andrinopoulos and Daniel have paired up for a team-best 7-2 record and are playing the No. 1 position.

ASU is led by two ranked players in singles play and two ranked doubles pairs. The Sun Devils are 7-4 overall and 1-1 in Pac-12 play with wins over No. 20 Stanford, No. 32 Notre Dame and No. 43 Princeton. They moved up to No. 26 in this week's national rankings. Desirae Krawczyk (23rd) and Kassidy Jump (54th) are both ranked nationally in singles and ASU also has the No. 23 and No. 69-ranked doubles teams in the country.

Arizona has a 9-5 mark overall, but dropped its opening two Pac-12 matches. The Wildcats, ranked 59th, are led by 27th-ranked Lauren Marker, who is 12-2 at No. 1 singles and 20-6 overall this season. Marker and Shayne Austin are also the 47th-ranked doubles pair in the nation.
