This is a key weekend for the season.
It would appear that both games are must wins at this point due to the three game loosing streak earlier in the season. On top of that they most likely need to finish in the top 5 or so in conference play to get an RPI that will be worthy of an at-large bid to the NCAA tourney.

It will be interesting to see how the attack does against better opposition than Drexel. Let's hope their confidence is up. And no more silly defensive gaffes.

Go Buffs!

Highlight of the one goal so far.

And, the starters were

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL on a penalty kick taken by Kornieck. 2-0 CU

Penalty earned by a nice Zuniga pass into the box that forces a defender to clip Evans.

Solid 2-0 at the half.

Playing into the wind in the 2nd, tho.

Still 2-0 at the half. Shots relatively even at 7-6 Buffs, but the Buffs hold a 6-2 lead in shots on goal.

Iowa is gonna be tough on Sunday. That's a big one for the program. They're 5-1 and play at Iowa State tonight, then have to travel to altitude. Hopefully we can catch them and get another high quality win.

Looks like Iowa just finished off the Cyclones, earning a 2-0 win, scoring both goals within a 9 minute period around the middle of the 2nd half (per http://stats.statbroadcast.com/statmonitr/?id=136015).
