George King knows the time is now. Time to make one more impression on pro scouts. Time to take his game to the next level on both ends of the floor. But most of all, time to assume the reins of team leader and help guide the Colorado men's basketball team back to the NCAA Tournament.

Sounds like King's mind is in the right place. He'll be more of a quiet, set the example, type in how he leads. Some other guys will need to be the in-your-face types for this team, but it sounds like he gets this and that the program, the university and his legacy are in the front of his mind. That's what I was hoping for.

"We're going to be young, but we're extremely talented," King said. "The freshmen are like wet clay — it's up to the older guys to help mold them in the right way. That way their clay will dry and when the older guys are out, their mold is set and they're molding the next group of guys. That's how you start a fraternity — and that's what we're all about. Trying to start a fraternity on the court and off the court. That way, years down the road we're having a get-together alumni gathering and we're all the same and we can reflect back on our good days at this university."

If we're lucky, the NBA guys got through to him about his D. The physical tools and shooting touch are absolutely worthy of a 3-n-D NBA player. If he could sneak into the 2nd rd, that would really establish this program as an NBA pipeline for guys who aren't 5* recruits.

Program will be established when 0* gets drafted this year

So who is the team leader? Putting aside Rapone, you have 3 seniors: GK, Miller and Collier. None of them seems to have the personality to be real vocal or be an in-the-face type guy, altho that can change pretty quickly, when a player is put in the position and sees his teammates respond positively. Collier has been inconsistent, Miller has the foul issues and, IMO, George was little disappointing last year.
Tough for a new guy to take on that role too. White did it, but he had a strong background and played 'lights out' from the beginning. Should be great watching these guys mesh and develop. Tickets are renewed and we are ready for a fun season. Go Buffs.

Probably Miller if you're looking for a guy to be more vocal. We'll see if Namon Wright emerges. RS Junior, so he's like a senior.
