PHOENIX — The University of Colorado men's golf team did not have the final round it was looking to achieve here Saturday, slipping one spot into a 12th place finish in Arizona State's Thunderbird Invitational. No. 2 and host Arizona State led from start to finish, posting a 20-under par team score of 832, which easily outdistanced No. 7 Texas by 12 shots, as the Longhorns ended at 8-under 844. No. 32 UCLA moved from fifth to third with a 7-under 845, leapfrogging top-ranked Oklahoma State in the process; the Cowboys took fourth with a 2-under 850. No. 23 North Carolina State rounded out the top five with an even-par 852 total.
