Best of wishes to Buff Tennis's leading player Ms. Ormeño Ruiz at Pacific Pallisades today in her pre-qualifying matches!
(As was also I believe mentioned in an earlier cubuffs.com article, she is ranked #110 in the country in the main pre-season poll at http://www.itatennis.com/ResultsAnd...en_s_National_Singles_Rankings_-_Sept__13.htm .)

Per http://www.itatennis.com/Assets/2016+Women$!27s+All-American+Qualifying+Singles+Draw+--.pdf , looks like her 1st match is scheduled for 12:30 PM (I assume Pacific Time). No obvious links I could see right now for live results, but assume reports will be available both from the event homepage (http://www.itatennis.com/Events/ITANationalChampionships/WomensAllAmerican.htm) and Buff Tennis's twitter (https://twitter.com/CUBuffsTennis).

Looks like Ms. Ormeño Ruiz had a great day, with TWO upsets, both in straight sets. Congrats to her!

Not sure those were so much upsets as this is a case of her being dramatically under-ranked due to not performing up to her talent last year.
