RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil — Former Colorado star Jenny Simpson became the second Buff in two days to claim an Olympic bronze medal, putting on a terrific finishing kick over the last 200 meters Tuesday night to finish third in the 1,500-meter final.

They just showed the race on NBC. Simpson made a push for the Silver but ran out of track. If it was a 1520, she would have caught the next runner. Jenny was running very strong at the end.

From my past as an average cross country runner, her race was a sight to behold! Loved watching her dominate that last lap.
