Good luck to the Buffs as they start their fall (off-season) season.

With their 1st round a few holes from over, against pretty strong competition, looks like the Buffs are in 2nd at -6, behind only Oklahoma State (-12).

Individually, although there's obviously a long way (2+ rounds) to go, looks like senior Esther Lee is dominating so far like she's playing a putt-putt course while everyone else is playing Oakmont, as she has a 5 stroke lead and is at -10 through 17. What a (potentially record setting sounding???) round!

Esther Lee birdied her final hole, so finishes her incredible 1st round of the season at -11 (5 strokes up on 2nd), with the Buffs overall at -7.

Just wanted to mention that, per the leader board, "Second round play was suspended due to inclement weather. Play will resume tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. MST with Round 3 immediately following."

With a little over 1/2 the 2nd round completed, the Buffs are still at -6, which has slipped them down to 4th place. Individually, Esther Lee is still going strong, as she's now -14 overall (-3 through 11 holes in the 2nd round), and is 6 strokes ahead of 2nd place.

Per the leaderboard, looks like the Buffs slipped some by the end of the 2nd round, and now are in a tie for 6th at +1. Esther Lee had a good round of -3, so still has a (slightly smaller) 3 shot lead in the individual battle. Assume 3rd and final round will be starting soon.

At one point I checked the leaderboard during the round, and Ms. Lee had been tied by an SDSU Aztec at -13. However, the Buff then turned it on and went -5 the last 7-8 holes for a 5 stroke victory. The Buffs as a team improved some late also (assume led by Ms. Lee), and ended up in 5th in the team competition at even par, with Oklahoma State winning the tournament at -20.
