Man, that's too bad. It was gonna pop.
That is too ****in funny. And not surprising at all. What is, is that it too CU so long to figure out his shenanigans. At least they didn't fall for it twice with JE....although they did wait two years.
They promoted their GM. This is their bye week. Timing´s a little odd and a 2-3 start ain´t toooo terrible.
It's never a bad time to fire Dan Hawkins.
Do you realize just how hard it is to translate DH's Zen BS into French as spoken in Montreal? The newspapers were begging for this!
I guess he brought too much of the funk for their liking..
Much better to terminate prematurely than to let him stay a year and a half too long.
Canadians take their football more seriously than CU. WTF is this world coming to? America is no longer the land of the free and Canadians now love football?
Not only Canadians, but French Canadians. Let that sink in for a minute.

He must have given his "puppies peeing on the rug" speech.
It´s their revenge for Colorado first taking the Nordiques and then Roy.
Hearing that his smugness and attitude towards critics was the issue. That and pro players call BS a lot quicker than CFB players.
I think he got some sort of ancient curse at Machu Pichu.
Nothing of particular note in the article, but I like confirmation:
This really is just too funny in a painful sort of way.
Taking pleasure in a man's misfortune. I hope you are all proud of yourselves.
fify. Does this mean he gets a CF TV gig, though?
CFL or NCAA?
Let's hope not. I would watch him call a CFL game though.
Hawkins need to stick with broadcasting.
Guess they didn't cinch some things up.....
Honestly, I can't stand the guy in broadcasting either.
I think he has a great career in front of him coaching intramurals at an FCS school.
Maybe he can partner with Bohn and open a coaching camp ............. in Alberta.
Arash Madani @ArashMadani Make no mistake about it: The Hawkins firing hasn't been brewing since Week 1. It's been an issue since training camp. #CFL #Alouettes
Arash Madani @ArashMadani
In unison, the state of Colorado is saying "I told you so." #Hawkins #CFL
Some tweets embedded in the article on his firing. There was also a post in the comments section that shouldn't surprise anyone here:
The only surprise is that the firing came after a win. When you're new to the CFL as a head coach, you need to hire experienced coordinators, which he did not. It's like the Bart Andrus hiring part 2. The game and rules are too different from the NFL and College to not surround yourself with experience guys while you learn the nuances.
That was quick, not surprising but quick.
I wonder how much money he has left on his contract C$ this time.
