This, by all accounts, should have been the beginning of our resurgence-- Joining the Pac 12, clearing out the previous problems, etc. Instead, you've overseen what I personally believe to be the worst CU team in my lifetime. I know you are not solely responsible. Folks want to bash Benson and DiStefano as well, But, you are in charge of the athletic department. This is on your watch. You own this failure. All of the efforts of the CUAD to reach out to alums and increase engagement are being blown apart, week by week, by this dreadful situation. Where you should be presiding over a hyper-engaged West Coast fan base, instead, we are embarassed and apathetic and seeking to distance ourselves from this disaster. You cannot effectively fund raise in this environment. Coach Embree and his staff are good people and I'm sorry that they have failed, but they have failed. Utterly and completely. When individuals fail in my organization, I fire them, even when I like them. You cannot have the entire organization fail because of weak links, regardless of the motivations and desires of the people failing. Change must be made. This staff has to go. Now. You have to do this. You have to push through the political obstacles. This is your job. You'll own the failure in the eyes of the world, even if you do proclaim from the mountain tops to the end of your days that the culture and administration at CU caused the failure. You own this. You and you alone must fix this. Fire the staff. Bring in a big name, a proven name. We need someone who can recruit right away based upon reputation, because our reputation is horrible. We need a big time coach who can outshine the horrible state of CU football. You need to do this. And, until you do, we are sunk. We are done. There is no bright shining future, either for us or for you. Do the right thing. Go Buffs.
