Punt returns nationwide don't mean much anymore. Much more important to get the ball back in your hands.
I am ok seeing Spruce returning punts the rest of the year. We just can't have those type of ST blunders anymore if we want a chance at games.

No one is saying they can't be a weapon, I'm not sure why you'd brig that up. No one has said that. But overall, punt returns are much less valuable than securing the ball at this time. Teams are putting more of a emphasis on getting possession and making big plays in the kickoff return game rather than punt return.
