This is great news, Ralphie is such a huge part of the Buffs program, and it will be great to have her back on the field and hopefully, she has a good demeanor and new recruits and other events will come back strong, especially if everyone would just get vaccinated so we can all see these games with a close to a full house!

Apparently they chose the new Ralphie last year.
"A new bison was selected in 2020, but the staffers in charge of the Ralphie program have yet to decide whether that bison is ready to carry the name Ralphie VI. Last week at Pac-12 media days, Colorado athletic director Rick George told reporters that the plan is for Ralphie VI to make her debut when the Buffaloes open their season Sept. 3 against Northern Colorado at Folsom Field."

In 1966, some students thought it was a good idea to run a buffalo on the field. They were correct, although it likely wouldn't fly today.
