Hawkins sucks! Worst coach ever!
Waiting just makes it worse.
I'm coming around to the mid-season firing...
Not going to happen.
The decision is already 11 months late and counting.....
i'm starting to have doubts about mcelwain. second week in a row his offense is complete garbage and for some reason he refuses to call run plays with his two stud runningbacks
Hawkins isn't going anywhere - he will finish the season.
Yep and that will make things even worse, brilliant.
Not going to make anything worse. Everybody knows he is gone.
I agree he'll finish the season. Folks, it's 38 days. I have no problem waiting as long as Bohn has a plan. Since he wanted to ****can hawk a year ago, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say negotiations with new coach have already begun.
Fine then. Hawk better be fired the second he steps into the lockeroom after the Nebraska game and McElwain better be named the HC the next day!
I think Hawk should take responsibility for SOMETHING during his 5 years in Boulder. MAN UP HAWK! say you f--cked up bad. Admit you are in over your head and resign like a man. Or stay and get your pink slip after the NU game..... if we are lucky this will happen as he walks off the field in NU and embarrass his ass on national TV much like he has embarrassed this once proud program for 5 years!
It wouldn't surprise me if something happened during the week leading up to the Nebraska game..
Don't cave in! He needs to be gone and the Buffs need to begin to pick up the pieces. We don't need this albatross hanging around our necks any longer.
This is the first CU loss where I don't even feel upset, despite losing in such heartbreaking fashion. I'm just so worn down and tired of Hawkins that all I can do is laugh. I could start my complaints with the 2pt conversions, but I just don't even have the energy with this team anymore.
Every day Hawk is at the helm this University LOSES BIG TIME...fan support is dwindling by the second, respect for the University and it's "so-called" athletic leaders is non-existent, the players/team literally regress each and every practice, recruiting is already at an all time low/disgrace, we are losing games in astonishingly new fashions (directly attributable to the current coaching staff)
WHY WAIT???? Give me 1 logical reason....just one....would love to hear it
Actually as I have thought about it tonight -- if McCartney would agree to come back to CU as the interim coach (and potentially the long term solution, too) then I would say go ahead and fire Hawkins immediately.
I am starting to sway away from the bring back Mac campain. I am just afraid his legacy would be ruined if he came back and wasn't able to turn it around.
I really think we need to go after a hot coordinator at a big time school like Jim McElain.
The thing I like most about McElwaine is his work with QB's. If we're going to compete in the Pac12, we need to get better QB's in this program than Hansen, Hawkins, Klatt, and Jackson.
I like and respect all of those guys, but our expectations for our starting QB need to be a lot higher. I'm silently hoping Hirschman isn' the big project I think he is.
I'm gonna wait to see what Niel Woelk has to say tomorrow. I trust his judgement over anyone on this silly little board.
Something along the lines of Texas Tech being the biggest game of the Hawk era, the margin for error getting slimmer for Hawkins to save his job and make a big bowl, and a skewed stat involving Mac or GB in order to try and justify that Hawk could still turn this around
If Hisrchman was the real deal his RS would have been burned. I'm not joking here.
We need to get rid of Hawk and get some great HS players to visit CU.
Yeah. I agree. But you know Hawk was dying to put his boy in there. Just to show us how little we know.
By thursday, woelk will be telling everyone hawk still has a great chance to win 8 games...
Is DBT Woelk? Hmmmmm.
Wrong! Should have been fired at halftime of the Toledo game.
Honestly, part of me has been hoping for CU to lose every game since that halftime break. Can't get rid of this guy if he hovers around .500 for his time here.
I think Hawk is losing his ability to care about the players and the future of the program. He's going to burn redshirts for one play and stop recruiting. We need to get rid of him for those reasons alone. The fans will only hold out for so long and then find something else to do on Saturdays.
