East and West Coast Biased ESPN

btbuff

It's an inside joke
ESPN did no favors for CU and the PAC-12 in their Basketball conference rankings. Pac-12 is ranked as the 6th best conference.

First they say that with the loss of CU and Nebraska the Big 12 should be stronger in basketball. Not completely unfair considering our history. (Also says they got weaker with A&M and Missouri leaving). Then, the worst comment of all.
If this conference truly improves in the years to come, it will be thanks to ongoing projects at Stanford, Oregon, Arizona State and USC.
Leaving out Colorado will come back to bite them.

It's ESPiN. As if they have a clue about anything beyond Nielsen ratings....

yeah they didn't look at what happened last year, the recruiting class we got and the new facilities. typical

All of that said, ESPN also picked us 7th in the conference if I remember correctly -- which is easily the highest of anyone.

Part of the issue with ESPN is how large they are. A different writer or group of writers does everything. I am sure that a different group choose us 7th as rated the conferences.
We have seen that certain elements are awesome to us, Ted Miller. While others, Dave UbBEAN, can be ass wads.

They also have us currently ranked 21st in their recruiting rankings, so it's not like we're being completely disrespected by them.

Just look at it from a more positive perspective. They didn't really say much about us now, so when we start making some noise this year and especially next year, it will that much more of a story.

ESPiN is entertainment. Not sports. They likely plan to merge with the E! "News" Network. Hence the "marriage" of the Wookie sister to Humphries.
