English Snags First Place Finish

NORWALK, Calif. – Kelsey English jumped 5-10.75 in the high jump to earn her second first place finish of the weekend at the Long Beach Invitational on Saturday, matching her personal best.

“The weekend gave me confidence that I am moving in the right direction and will achieve my goal height of six feet shortly,” English said. “I am very excited for future practices and meets to continue progressing and show off my technical gains in the event.”

English entered Saturday’s competition with a win at her back. On Friday, she jumped 5-8.75 to earn a first place finish at the Mt. SAC Relays. On Saturday, she pushed herself and jumped even further to match her own personal best at 5-10.75 to match her personal best that she established just last year.
