Man lands on moon!
OMG! Game over!
He is one of four QBs offered right now. He better jump on board quickly if he wants to play for championships.
You mean before Saban leaves for a better job.
Where is a better job?
That's what the folks at LSU said.
Wouldn't be a problem. They could just replace him with Bobby Petrino.
Florida offered him?
before Unleash has a chance, "Utah Offered Him!" :smile2:
From Steamboat Springs to Tuscaloosa? Hmmm.
What do these schools have in common?
A: All three tried to recruit the #1 player out of Colorado the last three years and all three failed.
thank you sir!
He got a better job when he left LSU.
He can go to CU and watch other teams play for championships.
doom in a mirror
You seem overly concerned about a guy CU has not shot at.
imho, if you can handle the pressure and if you can control some of the overzealous boosters so that your program stays clean, the 'bama job is one of the best in college ball.
you've got rabid support, no competition from pro sports, a great base of talent regionally, a good conference, and a university commitment to win (not letting the crazy ivory types dictate academics to the sports teams).
add in the comp that they pay and you've got all the pieces in place for success.
on the other hand, there must be something about the lsu job because they've had a few high profile guys leave there (or not take that job). i don't know exactly what the "something" is...
saban is an excellent coach (one of the top 5 in the country, imho) and he is in a situation built for him to win. if he wants to stay in college ball, i'd be surprised if he left on his own accord (unless they run afoul of the ncaa).
You don't pay your players? Maybe you should.
dude, i wish we did. we'd get better players. you guys know how to win. CU has forgotten.
Cajuns are crazy. Saban rules the boosters now. He will be there until the NFL itch gets him again.
I meet a tuk football player who played the summer softball circuit for Worth [Tullahoma, TN]. He was flown to the tournement each weekend and paid $1200+ for playing on the team. tuk is dirty and they were protected by Kramer for years. Now that he is gone their recruiting stinks.
Thanks, Chuck. My point exactly.
Are you guys going to shot him or what?
Of course. CU was his second offer, right after Cal.
The conventional wisdom right now is that Cal has the inside track on the kid because of some family history there. I wouldn't ever bet against Hawk to land an in-state recruit that he's really after, though. All indications are that he's really after Hinder. In all seriousness, I'd be very surprised if he goes anywhere but Cal or CU.
To get back on topic, everyone is going to offer Mr. Hinder. The culture shock from going to Tuscaloosa from Steamboat will ensure that he won't end up at Alabama.
Do you guys remember that linebacker from Shreveport we signed a few years ago who transferred after a couple seasons? Guy just couldn't wrap his head around Boulder. It works the same way in reverse.
Don't forget that. I WILL hunt you down just because I can. :smile2:
You can hunt me down but you can't deny it.
