The Buffs will finish with the best regular season record in the Pac (with one loss) if they beat the Ducks tomorrow. (Assume after sweeping the Cardinal (2 losses) CU may have technically already clinched the Pac regular season title via tiebreaker?)

The Buffs were down against the Ducks in Eugene through early in the 2nd half in the 1st meeting this season, so hopefully the Buffs will bring their "A game" and not be looking forward to the Pac tournament. (Depending on how the bracket is set up, assume the odds are that the 4th place Ducks will also be the likely 1st opponent the Buffs face in the tournament.)

BOULDER — The No. 15 Colorado Buffaloes will host Oregon on Friday, April 20, at 3 p.m. in the final regular season game of the season at Kittredge Field. With one game left, the Buffs have already won a share of the Pac-12 regular season Championship.

HOW TO WATCH: The game will be streamed live on Facebook. A link to the stream, as well as live stats, will be available at CUBuffs.com.

PROMOTIONS: The first 200 fans will receive a free t-shirt. The CU seniors will also be celebrated after the game.

ABOUT THE BUFFS: Colorado is ranked 15th in the IWLCA poll and is 13th in the media poll and 11th in the USL poll. CU is 11-4 this season and is on top of the Pac-12 standings with an 8-1 record. With the Buffs' two wins last weekend, they have guaranteed themselves at least a share of the Pac-12 regular season Championship.

ABOUT OREGON: Oregon has an 8-7 overall record and is 4-5 in the Pac-12, which puts UO fourth in the league standings.

Cambi Cukar has 39 assists, which ranks fourth in the NCAA. Lexy Biller is 12th in the NCAA this season with 6.40 draw controls per game.

With my computer repaired, can post here much easier, so also wanted to update with some other lacrosse news-
  • For the 1st time I can remember in any Buff sport, the same two Buffs won Pac player of the week honors in back to back weeks (Darby Kiernan for offense and Sarah Brown defense.) Congrats to them!

  • Ms. Kiernan also was awarded this week's Coaches' Association offensive National player of the week. Congrats again to her!

  • Looking ahead a bit, especially in case the Buffs need to get into the NCAA tournament via at-large selection. (For fans amusement only- assume the team, and KNOW the fans, just wants the Buffs to win the conference and earn an auto-bid.):
  1. Like I believe all the team sports outside football (???), RPI is calculated for lacrosse, and like the other sports I's assume (???) is a big determinant of who earns at-large NCAA tournament bids. In the most recent calculation (https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/lacrosse-women/d1/ncaa-womens-lacrosse-rpi), the Buffs sit at #13. With 13 at-large teams selected to the NCAA tourney, and eyeballing the RPI only 5 teams being ahead of the Buffs that don't have the best RPI in their conference, one would think the Buffs should be in decent shape to be selected (if they don't fall apart and lose the next 2 games). (Oregon is #36 in RPI (out of 115 teams in the calculation), so assume playing them, possibly twice in a row, isn't too bad a hit RPI-wise, although their 8-7 record won't help much.)
  2. Also looks like the teams the Buffs have lost to are all pretty good, and have stayed solid through the season. (The 4 losses are to current RPI #'s 4, 6. 22 and 25.)
  3. Thankfully, in spite of the Buff's 18-3 route of them, Virginia Tech has stayed very solid, and look to count as the Buff's "best win of the year" RPI-wise as they are rated at #16. Stanford, who the Buffs beat twice, are right behind the Hokies at #17. (With USC at #22 RPI and a #21 Coaches' poll ranking, assume the Pac has a decent chance of getting 3 teams into the "big dance" this year.***)
  4. ***Right after writing the above, found a bracketology article at http://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/women-s-division-i-bracketology-april-16th/51954. Regarding the Buffs, it says "-Biggest beneficiary of Pac-12 schedule, leading to a pair of victories over Stanford. Good at-large chance even without AQ. " They don't mention the Buffs as having any chance of being one of the (looks like 8?) teams that get to host the 1st 2 rounds of matches (with the 6 top seeded teams earning 1st round byes). Sure like most sports these braketologies are big guess-work as to WHERE teams might play, but for what it's worth the article GUESSES the Buffs could end up back in Gainesville to face 1st Jacksonville and, if they win that game, a rematch against the #4 seeded Gators. (The analysis also has Stanford as one of the last 4 teams in and USC and DU as two of the 1st teams out of the tournament.)

Looking forward to this one...might have to miss the early parts of the game due to work.

Glad to see much better video camera angles than at Stanford & Cal despite the distraction of traffic on 36.

19-9 as senior Tori Link gets her 1st goal of the season as the Buffs end up with the win!.

Note- for those who like ceremonies, announcers saying the senior day celebrations will be shown following the game (at ).

Nice story. Of course everyone wishes Julie Sarcona was still with us, but making the best of life's challenges is a key part of growing up. All of us Buffs should be proud of this team - I definitely am. Here's to not settling for a PAC 12 championship and taking the national - keep making the Sarconas proud!

After our cross country teams, W LAX may be my favorite non-revenue sports team at CU. Their rise is incredible... ...now...to put my time and money where my mouth is and actually attend a match...need to do that.
