So, the Buffs have a matinee starting in ~10 minutes against Arizona today at Coors.

cubuffs.com preview of today’s game- http://www.cubuffs.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=600&ATCLID=209871205

A little bit about Arizona from that preview:

"
Arizona is 8-11 overall and tied for 11th place in the Pac-12 at 1-8. On Friday, the Wildcats shot just 28.3 percent in a 62-48 loss at Utah. Keyahndra Cannon came off the bench to lead Arizona with 14 points, six rebounds and two steals. The Wildcats snapped a seven game losing streak with an 81-78 overtime win over Oregon in Tucson on Jan. 25 for their first Pac-12 win. Arizona ranks 11th in the Pac-12 in scoring (59.5 ppg) and 12th in field goal percentage (.364). The Wildcats are one of the better offensive rebounding teams in the league, grabbing just under 14 per game. Defensively, Arizona holds its opponents to 65.4 points per game on 41.2 percent from the floor. The Wildcats have done well defending the perimeter, allowing only 28.5 percent from 3-point range, the second best mark in the Pac-12.

Senior guard Candice Warthen leads Arizona in scoring (12.9 ppg), assists (3.0 apg) and steals (1.2 spg) while ranking second in rebounding (5.9 rpg) and 3-point field goals (14). Sophomore forward LaBrittney Jones tops the Wildcats in rebounding (6.2 rpg), blocks (1.3 bpg) and field goal percentage (.447) and is second in scoring (9.0 ppg). Freshman guard Charise Holloway leads Arizona in 3-pointers made and attempted (24-of-80) and is third in scoring (7.7 ppg). Sophomore guard Malena Washington is second in assists (2.2 apg) while pitching in 7.1 points per outing.

Television- I'm not sure. The preview says it's on all the Pac 12 network channels, and my Comcast schedule does show it on the Mountain. However, the Pac-12.com listings show all the networks showing a gymnastics match. I'll assume for now the Buffs ARE on TV due to Comcast's schedule showing it as being on.

Streaming- If your cable/ satellite subscription includes access to the Pac 12 network, should also be available online after login through- http://pac-12.com/live or http://pac-12.com/network/pac-12-network?DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=600

Audio- On 760 AM in the Denver area, and should also be available through- http://www.cubuffs.com/mediaPortal/player.dbml?&id=1294083&catid=0&KEY=&DB_OEM_ID=600 beginning with the pre-game show, which started at 10:30 AM MT.

Live stats- Should be available when the game starts from http://www.cubuffs.com/liveStats/v2/basketball/index.dbml?GAME_STAT_ID=1702270&db_oem_id=600 .

And, the game IS on Pac 12 Mountain.

Jamee Swan is in uniform and is starting, so hopefully that means the ankle injury that kept her out of the last 8-9 minutes of Friday night's game against ASU was minor.

I'd say the Buff's are looking the better team, but BOTH teams are shooting so cold the score doesn't indicate much difference- 12-8 Buffs with ~11 minutes left in the 1st half.

22-16 Buffs at the media timeout- 7:42 to go on the half, but AZ to be on the line. The Buffs pulled out to this slightly bigger lead due to Ms. Kresl hitting 3 in a row, including 2 3's.

41-31 Buffs at the half. 13 points each by Kresl (5-8, 3-4 from 3) and Reese (6-9, 1-1 from 3). Both teams now showing good shooting %'s after going cold from ~5th to 12 minutes, with the Buffs at 53% and AZ at 44.4%.

Buffs had a slightly bigger lead (peak was 14 pts. up), but the defense let up a little late in the half. (Probably not coincidentally, J. Swan got her 2nd foul and had to sit the last 4 minutes.)

60-49 Buffs with 8:47 left. Buffs not nearly shooting nearly as well as in the 1st half.

This one getting a little too close for comfort- 66-61 Buffs at the last media timeout (3:45 left); Ms. Kresl at the line. Arizona amping up defensive pressure, and are on a 15-4 run.

Shoot- L. Kresl goes down with another ankle injury while getting fouled with ~1:30 left. Huggins comes in and makes 1 of 2 foul shots for her. Buffs up 71-65, now with 1 minute left.

Edit- Kresl having to be helped to the locker room. Putting a LITTLE weight on the leg.

AZ now fouling immediately. Buffs just need to keep draining the free throws. 74-65 Buffs with 41 seconds left.

Way to go Buffs!!!- they get the win 81-69 after hitting most all of the free throws late (they shot a solid ~80% for the game from the line).

These Sunday matinee games in all sports (I know it's always talked about in the Volleytalk forum) are always dangerous trap games, so it's great the Buffs came through in this one.

Hopefully Ms. Kresl's injury isn't too major. She was able to walk back from the locker room to the bench on her own in the last minute of the game, but was limping pretty bad.

Edit- did also want to mention Ms. Swan did tough it out today playing 29 minutes, but didn't seem nearly as explosive or assertive as she normally is, assuming because of her ankle injury from last game. (She only had 4 points on 2-9 shooting, with I believe at least one of her makes being on offensive board put-backs. She did still contribute 7 boards.)

Noticed the same thing about Jamee. She had a better rebounding game than shooting game. Guessing she was in some pain with ankle taped up. Probably limited her mobility somewhat.

Four Buffs in double figures this game.

Hope Lexy will be okay. At least she didn't return to the bench on crutches like Jamee did on Friday.

11 AM games are a tough time to play. Sometimes it seems like the players sleepwalk through them.

In the pre-game visit, Coach Kelly asked the fans to cheer REALLY LOUD to help wake the players up!
