GREELEY, Colo. – Eileen Gehring and Shaw Gifford both took the 200-meter dash by storm to record first place finishes for the University of Colorado at the Tom Benich Invitational on Friday.

Gehring made her outdoor season debut, finishing the 200 in 24.81. Gifford recorded his second first place finish of the outdoor season in the 200-meter (first at Fum McGraw Quadrangular last weekend) with a time of 21.79.

The Buffs found success in the 200 all-around. Gifford and Austin Mitsch finished first and second in the 200 to complete a 1-2 sweep. On the women’s side, Brittany Lewis was just 0.03 seconds shy of mimicking the finish, crossing the finish line in 25.45 to place third overall.
