Mike MacIntyre: Every day in life is a fight. You can embrace it or let it run over you.

By Zach Barnett -January 19, 2017

Mike MacIntyre asked for a show of hands. “Who thought Washington State and Colorado would be playing in November for the Pac-12 championship?” Roughly 6,000 hands remained in place. Including his.

[snip]

“Find out what their dreams are,” MacIntyre told the coaches in attendance, “and when you do find it, find a way to feed it.” To do that, he said, the head coach must carve out time in his schedule to meet with each player 1-on-1. “If you don’t know what’s going on in their lives, they don’t think you care.”

Washington State??

Washington State??

If you read on, he was talking about how both of us were leading our divisions at that point in the season. Not a misprint referring to the P12C. I deleted the context when I cut down the quote to avoid reposting an entire article from another site.

I think this has been important for a lot of guys, especially Addison and Tedric.

Maybe not waving the white flag against Washington and OSU would be a nice change of pace?

This guy won the division and then stopped giving a ****. Is that the new normal for CU's "best year in 15 years"? Once every 15 years, we win our division and then get curbstomped in the conference championship game and the bowl game? Because that's the bar that the staff set for success this year, with their award tours and blatant not giving a **** about performing in the most two important games of the year. Weak.

"Well shucks, we've made it this far, let's stop trying!"

I'm sure you nailed it. MacIntyre didn't care about whether they won the Pac-12 Championship or the Alamo Bowl.
