Fairbanks snuck out to take the HC job with the New Jersey Generals of the USFL. He did this like a week before NOI day. Really classy guy.

We should be so lucky with Hawk. Is there a nearly defunct professional football league that is in the market for a charlitan windbag for a head coach?

I respectfully disagree... I think the stuff he could have been doing during spring practices, recruiting, and the remainder of the off-season *is* profoundly important to what happens to our beloved buffs this fall. There are many things he could be doing now to build player's skills and improve this situation before the season begins. But instead, he will continue to damage this program... We just won't see the results until the season begins.
