And this was Embree's Toledo. They need to announce that he will not be back next year and changes will be made but they would like him to finish out the remainder of the season and a coaching search would begin soon.
Obviously you can't hire anyone or probably even interview anyone for a few months but this way the search is on and the feelers can begin going out. By the time the middle to end of November rolls around the interviews can begin and they can make an announcement in the beginning of December. They need to get in front of this thing as far as possible so they aren't left with scraps after other schools beat us to the top candidates.
Love Embree, thought he was a good hire with lots of potential but in the next few weeks, the above is the only move they can make really. Can't risk letting another Hawkins type situation set us back another 3-4 years by keeping the wrong coach too long.
