Heart of the Buffalo - Cody

Up until last week, Scotty was my favorite to win the award.

But Cody Hawkins deserves it. It's great to see Cody stand strong when others might have folded. He does have the heart of a Buffalo.
 
I don't have a problem with Cody winning it, but I truly think Scotty deserves it far more, for his overall leadership and career here at CU.
 
There were several very deserving candidates (Scotty, Herrod, etc), but I couldn't be prouder that Cody was selected. He's been through so much but has been a great representative of the team and the university. He's been a leader on the field when he's playing and on the sideline when he wasn't. Congrats to Cody! NOW FINISH THIS OFF WITH A ROAD WIN IN LINCOLN (and then a bowl win too)!!!!
